Lawsuits against Debt Collectors are on the RISE!

Although debt collectors had been celebrating the fact that for the past several months lawsuits against debt collectors were on the decline, recent data from Web Recon, LLC, indicates that in January 2013 the lawsuits against debt collectors increased 7% compared to the lawsuits against debt collectors in January 2012.  The Debt Collectors had been celebrating in 2012 that almost every month the number of law suits against debt collectors declined compared to the same month in 2011.  Between 2012 and 2011 as a whole, the number of FDCPA lawsuits against debt collectors fell 6.8%. SOURCE INSIDE ARM.  This data tends to suggest that, hopefully, more consumers will continue to stand up against debt collectors and the number of lawsuits against debt collectors will continue to rise.
