Make Debt Collectors Pay YOU!
We are often asked how we are able to make debt collectors commit FDCPA violations pay for their illegal behavior. Many consumers are unfamiliar with the fact that there is a federal law (FDCPA) that provides protection against illegal harassing debt collectors. Under the FDCPA, if debt collectors break the law they are required to pay you up to $1,000 in statutory damages, unlimited actual damages, and your attorney fees (15 USC 1692k) (COMPREHENSIVE ACA ARTICLE) for their FDCPA Violations.
However, just because a debt collectors’ FDCPA Violations does not mean that they automatically have to pay you! To get your compensation from the debt collector it is best to hire an experienced FDCPA attorney to protect your rights! After all, since your attorney fees are required to be paid for by the debt collector, there is no reason to not seek this “free” attorney involvement.
Have Debt Collectors:
- Calling you at work after you asked them to stop?
- Contacting your friends and family members in an attempt to get you to pay?
- Disclosing to anyone that you owe a debt?
- Threatening anything “legal” against you if they are not an attorney?
- Attempting to contact you once you’ve retained an attorney?
- Harassing, insulting, or verbally abusing you?
- Calling repeatedly on the same day?
- Not disclosing to you that they are a debt collector during every communication?
If so, we can go after the debt collector and bring liability for their FDCPA violations!
